Our Plants Story…

Growing Hobby all started with just one little succulent. It was 2020, just before the entire world shut down and on my table was my “Little Warty” gasteria.

Warty was so easy to talk to and he truly seemed to care…so I bought a few more succulents to join the conversation. My home was soon a chatterbox of chubby little plants and was decided to sell my exercise equipment and furniture to make more space for them.

Here’s where the real trouble began…I learned how to propagate. Several thousand plants later, Growing Hobby was born. Finding a home at the Pee Dee State Farmer’s Market, my plants and I could spread out.

While succulents were the start, we have propagated into so much more. Growing Hobby now offers bonsai, cacti, tropical plants, ferns, terrariums, pots, crystals, hammocks, and so much more. We are the spot to find that unique gift or shop for that hard to find person.

Workshops have also become a regular for Growing Hobby. Check out our upcoming workshops or stop in to visit us today. Our booth is inside of the Pee Dee State Farmer’s Market located at 25813 W Lucas Street in Florence, SC. The last booth on your left will be waiting to meet you!
